House Swap with us

Tony and I have been married 43 years. We are both retired now. We have 4 adult daughters that are all married and 7 grandchildren. I am a primary school teacher and retired from full time teaching last year. I am working part time this year. Tony is a retired Qantas employee. We both enjoy travelling and are happy to swap locally or far away. Sometimes, with permission, one of our adult children will join us with their family for part of our holiday. Our home is very warm and inviting and quite comfortable to live in. We built it and have lived here for 38 happy years. We would enjoy sharing it with your family too.

The things we love about living here

  • We built our home 38 years ago and have loved living in Church Point. We have water views from every window and 2 verandas to sit on and appreciate the views. Our home in faces northwest so it is sunny and light. We are surrounded by wildlife, wallabies, bush turkeys and a myriad of native birds. There is a bus stop at the bottom of our driveway with buses running every 30 minutes. A post office, mini market, coffee shop and restaurant are one block away. There is a beautiful walkway along the waters edge all the way to Mona Vale which has 3 main grocery stores, many cafes, restaurants and lots of amenities to be enjoyed.
  • Our home is on a private driveway with 7 other houses. We have quiet neighbours and it is very peaceful up here.

We just loved our stay at Georgia’s home. It’s is such a cool design with lovely water (and many boat) views. Everything was super clean and comfortable for us. Needless to say the area is stunning. Beautiful walks along the marina area, beaches, food! CBD simple to get to by B line buses. Georgia was awesome Communicating with throughout the swap and I’d highly recommend collaborating with her should you wish a visit to this lush, nature filled area if Sydney.

Frank from Table Top (Albury) NSW (Jan 2024)

We swapped both house and car with Georgia and Tony in early October '22 and it could not have been any easier. Georgia was very flexible and easy to work with when arranging the swap and she left some good notes on the house and area to help during our stay. The house was clean and cosy, set amongst the wooded slopes of the Hawkesbury with water views from a big deck. Church Point is a quiet spot with a few nice local cafes but only a 10 minute drive to Mona Vale (which has everything) and the other northern-beach hotspots. Being on the estuary banks, there are quite a few steps to access the house but we didn't find this a problem. The early-morning bird chorus was a wonderful way to wake up - a true escape from city life. If you like birdlife (kookaburras, sulphur crests, lyre birds, bush turkeys, king parrots) as well as rabbits and wallabies, then you will feel right at home here and we totally recommend it :)) Our house and car were in perfect condition when we returned and, besides the essentials like bread and milk, there was a thoughtful gift waiting to welcome us home. Thanks Georgia and Tony for sharing your wonderful house with us.

Jed from Sandy Bay TAS (Oct 2022)

Georgia and Tony have a beautiful home in a very special part of Sydney. Their home was clean, tidy and beautifully decorated. They looked after our home as they have looked after theirs. Their communication with us was direct and easy. We would recommend them and their home to other house swappers and welcome them to swap again with us. The outlook from almost every room in their home is onto McCarrs Creek where there are a number of boats moored. We found it so relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed watching the birds, the colour of the water and the change of tides. It is a steep driveway and there are a number of steps to their home, so a level of fitness is required. The reward far outweighs the effort. We caught the local ferry doing the scenic tour around Scotland Island and other parts of Pittwater. We walked down to the community coffee shop and ate at the delightful restaurant one evening. Mona Vale isn't far away if you require more supplies. Highly recommended.

Susan from Nowra NSW (Sep 2020)

We had an immensely enjoyable stay at Church Point on the Pittwater, an unexpectedly scenic and peaceful haven in busy Sydney. The driveway and steps up to the hillside home looked initially daunting but getting past these is worth the effort —this is a uniquely welcoming A-frame home with outdoor decks, fabulous views over bays and bushland, and visiting wildlife such as cockatoos and bush turkeys at the back door. Our hosts ensured extremely comfortable and clean rooms, all necessary household equipment and elegantly eclectic surroundings, so that we felt immediately at home. Young grandchildren explored the play-loft and toys and even a kiddie car seat was provided. Our frequent communications were cordial and most informative so that there were no concerns at all.

Jean from Scott Creek SA (Oct 2019)

My family and I had a lovely time staying in NSW at Georgia and Tony's place. Their house is in a great location close to beaches, restaurants and buses. It is situated in a quiet bush setting and the rooms were lovely and clean, we felt very comfortable here. Georgia is an experience house swapper and made our first experience a relax one.

Natasha from Shearwater TAS (Feb 2019)

We had a most enjoyable stay at Georgia and Tony`s lovely home. Situated in a blissfully quiet area with wildlife at the front door. Short drives to stunning beaches, restaurants, a perfect location. We would definitely recommend an exchange to this beautiful part of Sydney. You wont be disappointed. Thank you!
