Profile: Couple-Retired - Completed House Swaps: 4
We are interested in resort/holiday areas in Australia preferrably in spring/autumn.
We are open to any offers from outside Australia, particularly Europe in the Australian winter (try us).
We are both retired and so have flexibility.
Type: House, Bathrooms: 2, Bedrooms: 3, Sleeps: 5
About our House: Our house is a recently built large comfortable 3 bedroom, study, 2 bathroom home with a large open plan living/ dining/kitchen. The house is set up for the two of us plus guests.
Two bedrooms have Queen beds. The third bedroom is used by us for other purposes but can be set up as a bedroom if required.
The house and outdoor facilities are designed to take advantage of the Perth warm weather with a pool and pool edge Bali style gazebo as well as a large Alfesco under the main roof of the house with large bifold doors from the open plan living to the Alfresco.
We use the pool area as much for 'relaxing by water' as for swimming.
The overall feel is a relaxing 'indoor/outdoor resort style environment'
The house has all the modern conveniences including a large screen LCD with Foxtel HD package plus Broadband access via WiFi.
Wembley is an inner Perth suburb with mostly older houses ( except for a few such as ours) on 700 Sq metre blocks. Wembley is 5/10 minutes to 'anywhere'. It is 7 minutes drive to the beach, 10 minutes to the CBD, Swan River, Kings Park and Northbridge entertainment district, 15/20 minute walk to the shopping and restaurant areas of Subiaco and Wembley and to Lake Monger, the largest lake in Perth and a magnificent wildlife habitat and peaceful morning walk.
Public transport is 200 metres. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance.
We have only lived in the suburb for 4 years but enjoy its central location and the friendly neighbourhood.
