We are a German/Australian family; parents are both in our early Fifties and public servants, two boys 18 and 16. We are very house proud and would treat your place the same way as we treat ours. We love travelling within Australia and overseas and have done 8 successful house swaps since 2008.

About our House: Our house is in a very private cul-de-sac. It is about 35 years old, and we have lovingly renovated/improved it over the years. It has a large kitchen/meals area, a cosy lounge room, two kids' bedrooms and a large master bedroom with a king size bed. We have a beautiful, very private deck in a Mediterranean style back yard where you can enjoy dappled light under the grapvine and the trickling of our water feature, and a huge verandah at the front with mountain views and sunsets. In the yard there is also a 15 ft round trampoline as well as (in summer) a 12 ft round K-Mart style swimming pool.

Old and New Parliament House, National Museum, War Memorial, National Library, High Court, Questacon, AIS, National Art Gallery, Cockington Green miniature village, embassies, Telstra Tower, Botanic Gardens.

We have two cats. They are well-behaved and friendly (except to each other!). We normally lock them in the kitchen overnight so they don't disturb our sleep. Both usually go to the toilet outside.
