2013: SEEKING HOUSEMINDING / CARETAKING POSITION, WITHIN AUSTRALIA OR ANY COUNTRY! We are a family of three, interested in house swaps both nationally and internationally. We have a large, modern and comfortable home. Outside there is a round-sided trampoline and huge sandpit. Landscaping is yet to commence. The views from the property are magnificent - rolling hills, trees, dotted with our sheep and cattle. For those of you that appreciate space, comfort and beautiful surroundings, this place is for you! You will find that our house is suitable for all ages, couples and families. We are non-smokers, and request that smoking here only be done away from our house.

For wine buffs, please note that we are situated only twelve minutes' drive from the town of Heathcote, which is fast becoming the Shiraz capital of Australia. Plenty of cellar doors to visit! Another website is www.kyneton.org.au - Kyneton is only 30 minutes' drive from our home. Both Kyneton and Heathcote have several top-class restaurants, plus good hotels.

45 minutes away is Bendigo, with cinemas, Science Discovery Centre, ice skating rink, indoor pool, top restaurants, and Central Deborah mine tours. Ballarat, with well-known tourist destination Sovereign Hill is 1 3/4 hours' drive away. Daylesford - 1 hour. Daylesford is not to be missed - lots of interesting shops, and the famous Hepburn Springs mineral water, which you can collect yourself from a spring.

About our House: We own and live on a 3000 acre sheep and cattle property in central Victoria, between Heathcote and Kyneton. Our son is the 6th generation to live on the farm, so our farm is extremely special to us.

Our large and comfortable home on the farm is 9 years old, and was designed by an architect based on energy-saving principals. It has solar hot water, double-glazed windows, and is built to the correct specifications so that both summer and winter are very comfortable. Our kitchen features black granite benchtops and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and coffee maker.

The main bedroom with queen bed has its own extremely large ensuite, complete with huge oval spa bath. Bedroom two has a queen bed, and is next to its own full-size bathroom. Bedroom three has a single bed and a trundle bed, all with very good matresses and quality bedding.

There is a large lounge room, the centrepiece of which is a Coonara wood heater with a granite surround. For the kids there is a huge playroom complete with enough toys for an army, plus a TV and DVD player. A chesterfield couch in the playroom make it extremely comfortable for grown-ups too! There are TVs in main bedroom, playroom and lounge. There are also three toilets and three showers within the house.

Our house has a ducted reverse cycle airconditioning system, plus slab heating and the Coonara wood heater, making it extremely comfortable throughout the year. The landscaping and paving around the house are yet to be done, so please excuse the exterior bareness!

This area is a wonderful desitination for all ages, and is steeped in history. Our property is only an hour to Tullamarine (Melbourne) airport and 45 minutes to Bendigo. close to Castlemaine and Kyneton too. Lake Eppalock is 10 mins away. Heathcote, only 12 minutes away, is fast becoming a destination in its own right, with a huge array of top class cellar doors, cafes and National Parks. Kyneton is 30 mins away, Ballarat just over 1.5 hours. Being situated in central Victoria means you are close to just about everything in the state!
