Roma boasts the Big Rig Oil & Gas museum,Railway Dams & Bush Gardens,Bottle tree heroes avenue, historic buildings,Romavilla winery, self guided walks on the towns history , buildings, bird life, Mt Abundance Historic Homestead , Meadow bank museum
It's also a great base for day trips to Surat( Cobb & Co museum & River Walk), Mitchell ( Great Artesian Spa) and Expedition National Park .
You could base yourself here and take a couple of days to go west to the Outback including Charleville's Cosmos centre & Bilbies . Carnarvon Gorge ( 2,5 hrs drive ) is a magical place I'd highly recommend to spend a couple of days camping ,hiking also.
Chooks and friendly outside dog called EmmaPets brought to our home need to be outside ones - there is only barb wire fencing
