Profile: Family-of-3
We are a married couple (38 and 41) with 2 children (our 5 year old still lives at home, our eldest son is now a part time visitor!), we are both builders who enjoy travelling. We are flexible with our dates of travel as we are self employed, however our youngest has just started school this year so that will now restrict us somewhat!
We have just completed a 10 square extension to the rear of our heritage home in the CBD of Bendigo (the home is now 21 squares of living). 3 bedrooms, 3 lounge rooms, 3.6m bifold doors lead out to an outdoor kitchen, 12' ceilings and beautifully appointed. Our home has a lot of history to it, being the original home of one of the instrumental families of Bendigo's gold history. The home is 900m from the main mall of Bendigo and is walking distance to everything, but located in a quiet court away from noise and traffic. Bendigo has a fantastic gold rush heritage, with a world renowned art gallery and museum, an original tram line and tram depot, and is only 1.5 hours to Melbourne, 1 hour to the snow, 1 hour to historic Echuca and the NSW border, or other well known regional areas of Victoria like Ballarat. Being the centre of Victoria makes it an easy central spot to be located. Bendigo has a theatre, famous Art Gallery, myriad restaurants and tourist locales. Beautiful spot in summer.

About our House: Fully renovated Victorian home in the CBD of Bendigo. The home is located 2 blocks from the centre of the city, walking distance to everywhere. We've just added an extension, so the house now has 3 bedrooms ( 1 queen, 1 double, 2 single) plus ensuite to master, and 3 lounge rooms (the posh room, the family room and a kids playroom). Bathroom has the original (restored) 1896 claw foot bath and tapware.
Bendigo is a large historical regional town in Victoria with a rich history in gold mining. The architecture is stunning, with many heritage buildings and attractions, sporting and recreation. The Easter Fair is a massive event, this is a very big tourist area. We are only 1.5 hours to Melbourne, the snow, the beach, the NSW border ....in fact Bendigo is the geographical centre of Victoria.
