We are a recently retired couple who both worked as secondary school Heads of Departments. We are self- funded retirees in our mid-fifties who are enthusiastic about exploring other places. However ,we enjoy being a part of a community rather than merely from a tourist bus. Hence our desire to house swop. We have three grown up married children- one in Sydney, one in Brisbane and one in Tannum Sands.We also have four beautiful grandchildren. Our property in Tannum Sands is in a quiet rural residential area only a bike ride from the beach. We thoroughly enjoy this area for its mild climate , its beautiful foreshores, easy access to facilities and proximity to the Great Barrier Reef.

About our House: High set spacious brick home on 1.25 acres of land in an established acreage estate. The house has two car accommodation, large open plan living area with high raked ceilings.The Tasmanian Oak kitchen with breakfast bar is in this area along with a prominent large TV attached to the living room wall.Very wide glass doors allow the cooling sea breezes into the house .The house has all hard floors throughout for the subtropical climate. Two bedrooms (master and guest room) are both air conditioned. The main bedroom has a two way ensuite with bath, shower and double sinks while downstairs has another shower and toilet. A north facing deck overlooks an orchard and the tree filled estate.

Extensive sealed and flat cycling tracks along the coastal foreshores. Agnes Water / Town of 1770- 1.25 hrs drive to this beautiful coastal area and surfing beach Awoonga dam is 20 kms from our house - Australian renown Barramundi fishing destination and water sports venue. Carnarvon Gorge National Park 4hours drive west. Climate: Tannum Sands has a subtropical climate- cool seabreezes during summer and a water temperature of 25 deg. for most of the year.
