I am a single secondary school teacher. My four children have grown up and moved away from home. For many years when they were younger, I did house swaps and we never had a failure. We loved every one! I am now delighted to try and give my two young grandchildren the same delightful holiday experiences. We know how to take care of other people's belongings and respect their environment.

About our House: My house is decorated in a country cottage style. The furniture is comfortable like the long leather couch in the lounge room. There are some fine mahogany pieces like the extendable dining table, leather dining chairs and large dresser. However, there is nothing so precious that it cannot be used and enjoyed. There is a double bed in one room and a king single in another. There is a sofa bed in the family as well if it is needed. There is glorious mature garden setting full of tall trees and native plants. There is a deck that overlooks the garden. The kitchen has been updated and is a cheery blue and white. The house is 3 houses away from the national forest with its soaring trees and shady walking tracks.
Tecoma is in the Dandenong Ranges so it has historical significance. The area is a renowned tourist one as there are so many attractions. Many tourists come from the suburbs as it is such a unique environment. The huge gum trees and tree ferns are trademarks. The coloured rosellas flit past. The shy lyrebirds hide until dusk. There is an abundance of wild life, yet Melbourne's CBD is only an hour away and is easily accessible either by train or car. There are shopping precincts like Chadstone even closer. The famous vintage steam train called Puffing Billy leaves from Belgrave which is only 5 minutes away. The wine areas of the Yarra Valley are easily found within the hour. The quaint villages of Sassafras, Kallista, Olinda and Mt Dandenong are only minutes away. My street is guaranteed to offer you peace and tranquility in a country atmosphere.
Jacques is a fluffy white cat with a nice disposition. He will happily warm your lap as you watch TV at night. He likes to go outside in the day but there is a cat curfew here to protect the wildlife, so he must be inside after 5pm.
