We are a semi-retired couple in our 60's, with children in Melbourne.

About our House: A 2-storey townhouse, with all bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs.
The main bedroom with ensuite has a balcony which looks out on a stand of coastal cypress pines.
At night you can watch the stars, and be lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of the surf.
In the morning you awake to the dawn chorus and morning sunshine.

Downstairs is an open-plan lounge-dining-kitchen area with lots of glass, looking out over private sub-tropical courtyard gardens front and rear. There is also a laundry and car space.

A short stroll takes you to Tallow Bach, with several kms of sandy beach to walk on - North toward Cape Byron or South toward Broken Head. Many of the locals start each day with a dip in the surf.

Byron Bay has great restaurants, galleries, shops, markets, music venues and cinemas, as well world-famous surfing beaches. In the hinterland are quaint villages like Bangalow (15 mins drive). There are many Spas and natural therapists in this area.

The Byron area is blessed with a very pleasant climate; not too hot in summer, not too cold in winter, perfect in spring & autumn. We get just enough rain to keep everything green.
