We love living in a country town while still being within an easily commutable distance to Melbourne.

About our House: We live in a large and beautiful heritage home in the historic township of Kyneton, in the Macedon Ranges. Our property is located central in the township and is an easy walk to the main shopping centre or a short stroll to historic Piper street where there are plenty of boutique shops , cafes and restaurants. Our home is situated in a lovely, low maintence garden setting -With trampoline, swing / slide and plenty of bikes. We have four bedrooms; two double rooms and another two rooms with a single bunk bed and a single bed, sleeping up to seven people comfortably. We have two bathrooms, a parlour(music room), a large loungeroom and dinning room, and a play room. Our home is hydronically heated.

Kyneton is an historic township noted for its bluestone buildings and historic homes. Kyneton is known in Victoria as a 'foodie' township as several restaurants have won hats awards bringing many tourists to the town. There are also many fine cafes, boutique shops, art galleries and a museum. The township has children's playgrounds as well as an indoor play centre and a new indoor heated pool. There are plenty of farm stays where children can visit the animals. There are local berry picking farms too. There is a river through the the town where you can try your luck at fishing, with a nearby expansive waterway and children's playground/picnic area at Lauriston reserve. Kyneton is located only 25 mins from Dalesford and Hepburn Springs where you can book yourself in for a relaxing time at their day spa complex or go and enjoy a night of live music at the popular Pallais. Kyneton is only 30 mins away from the well known Heathcote winery district, and 10 minutes from Hanging Rock. Melbourne is only 50 mins either by train or car to visit the Melborne zoo, Aquarium, science works, ice skating rinks, cinemas and extensive shopping. Castlemaine is 20 mins away where there is an historic cinema (movie and music venue) cafes and shopping. Ballarat and Bendigo are only 50 and 40 mins away respectively. Kyneton is a small, safe and peaceful place to relax or have fun!
