We are teachers who have travelled widely around Australia by car, caravan & motorhome in previous holidays. We have been on several cruises through Asia & the Pacific & have lived in New Zealand for a year. We have also travelled to Europe and stayed in the UK.
We have 2 adult sons in Perth and one in Singapore. We enjoy living and adapting to different lifestyles and have many interests (shared & separate) : golf, bookclubs, Bridge, Mahjong, lawnbowls, films, theatre, museums, genealogy, walking and sightseeing. Due to our profession, we also have current police clearances.
We are looking for a house swap for in Aust for Jan 2013. 1-4 weeks max.
We are also open to offers for Easter 2013
We are open to offers from the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Singapore for 2-8 weeks duration in 2013.

About our House: Our house has a formal lounge and dining room. There is also a study and the main bedroom/ensuite in the front half of the house. The country kitchen has an alternative separate entry from the garage and has 2 separate family/tv/conversations areas in this vicinity & access to the outside gardens.
There is a solar - heated pool surrounded by a large landscaped rockery, a pergola,bbq & dining area plus a separate gazebo with lounges.There is no pool fencing so families with small children would not find it secure.
The other half of the house has 3 more double bedrooms, one used as a study & the other for storage so only 1 double bedroom is available. This area has a separate bathroom & toilet & its own family room. The laundry is also here with access to the outside drying area. All bedrooms are carpeted with the living areas being tiled & parquetry flooring in the lounge/dining room (not suitable for pets).
There is extensive brick paving and the gardens/lawns are fully reticulated so maintenance is extremely low. Lawns are maintained by a contractor. The house has ducted airconditioning for hot weather and a gas heater (main family area) for cooler weather. There are expansive views of the garden area from all living areas.
Our house/garden means a comfortable relaxed lifestyle for us living in Perth! So come & enjoy WA while having a holiday here in our beautiful city!
We are 15km from the city of Perth and the same from the port of Fremantle. There are excellent freeway/highway links to all areas south and north. Within 5 minutes walk, there are local shops with hairdresser, deli, doctors, cafe. The bus to the local train station is also a 5 minute walk.
The area has interconnecting pathways & cycleways with a large park in the next street. Within a 5 minute drive, there are 7 day markets offering vegetables, meat, Asian goods, newsagent, chemist and huge Sunday markets.
Within 5 minute drive there is a large suburban shopping centre. There are cinemas, libraries & larger shopping centres, within 10 minute drive in several directions. There are many local golf courses, taverns and restaurants within 10 minute drives as well as the Canning River & parks. The Hills are 40 minutes with wineries, nurseries to explore.This suburb is also close to a large hospital and university.
