We are a family who loves to travel and experience new things together. We have high standards at home for care and cleanliness, so we will always look after your home with the same respect. I am a stay at home mum and music teacher, and my husband is a Public Relations Officer at a local tertiary college. We have had several fantastic house swaps already. We live in a very cute home, which although not huge, can bed up to 7 people. As we have four sons (7, 5, 3 and 1), we have plenty of toys to share, both indoor and out, and a wonderful swimming pool - perfect for summer. There is also a huge outdoor sandpit under the house - perfect for rainy or sunny days.

We are a family who does not smoke or drink and we have no pets.

We also holiday let our home over holiday periods.

What a great place to bring the family! Kids will love the swimming pool, the outdoor undercover playground and the many things to do around the local area.

Around the peninsular there are short bush tracks - great for fun and adventures, and burning off that energy!

Both the local wharf good and Casuarina Point are within and walking distance and great for fishing, picnics, collecting shells, building sandcastles and wading in calm water.

From stunning beaches and mountain wilderness to 174 kms of stunning lake foreshore, there is so much to enjoy and explore. Lake Macquarie offers a slower pace of life and is the perfect place for a relaxing break.

The Lake Mac Holiday Shack is truly unique. Do you enjoy soaking in a deep, warm bath, secluding yourself in the hideaway loft, whipping up breakfast in the cafe-style kitchen? Relax in the spacious lounge room with books, CDs, DVDs and magazines. Gaze out of the floor-to-ceiling cathedral-style windows to the bush and swimming pool. Try your hand at the barbeque as you relax on the deck then cuddle up in the airy master bedroom.

The bedroom configuration is as follows: the master bedroom has a queen bed with en suite; a second bedroom has a trio bunk (double on the bottom and single on top); the loft has two single beds; we can also provide a cot if need be.

The house includes the following home entertainment appliances: board games; a DVD player; a PlayStation 2; a stereo system with cassette tape and CD player; and a digital television. Wireless Internet available.

Gas, column and split-system heaters also supplied.

Are you ready to explore beyond the house? Situated only 200 metres from Lake Macquarie, the house is also ideal as a base for boating, fishing, waterskiing or yachting. Grab a jacket and a thermos and walk to the jetty at Sunshine Baths to watch the sunrise over the lake. There are also many short bush walks around the area to enjoy with lovely scenic lake views.

Pack a picnic and take a camera to Morisset Hospital, only a few kilometres away. The hospital is on waterfront, picturesque hills and home to hundreds of kangaroos.

Within an hours drive, you can explore the wineries and restaurants of the Hunter Valley, beautiful, sandy beaches along the coast, the hub of Newcastle, and the pristine beauty of the Watagans National Park - perfect for nature lovers.
