Profile: Family-of-4
We are a family of four - My husband is 38 and architect, I am 43 and run my own cleaning business. We have two lovely girls aged 4 and almost two. We have lived in Cairns for 10 years originating from Adelaide. We are hoping to swap for Christmas 2011 at this point and would like to travel more in 2012 now the girls are no longer babies. Prior to children we have both travelled overseas to the UK, Europe, US, Cananda and Thailand. We hope to travel OS and also within Australia - open to most! We love our animals and are happy and would love to care for some one elses pets if applicable. You could most certainly rest assured that your home would be very carefully looked after.

About our House: Our home is a partially renovated two storey Queenslander, it has great character and is about 2/3rds finished. Upstairs - Living area with Juliette balcony-spectacular views, not so pretty kitchen but functional with dishwasher and shiney new fridge w ice and water, espresso machine. Dining area, Bedroom with QS bed, New snazzy bathroom, enormous deck area with BBQ. Downstairs, Master bed - QS bed, TV, Childrens bedroom with two small childrens single beds - one suit toddler + cot. Laundry with washer. Toilet and basin - not pretty but functional. Fans throughout. The house is built and designed to catch all breezes, very open, we even have some green tree frogs come in to visit. Huge lush garden, large fully fenced tropical salt water/chlorinate pool. Awsome location in I think the best part of Cairns. Bus stops out front of house. Not a really quiet home but always something happening! Great area for evening strolls, next to park, local shops- Mini supermarketet, PO, Hair, Fish & Chips, Thai, Chinese & amazing French Patisserie. Have more pix and am happy to send. Can also arrange for extra beds if needed. Commodre with two toddler/newborn seating & bike rack, also prams are available along with most other things for girls under 4 to newborn! Plenty of toys too.
Our home is directly accross the road from the famous Kuranda Railway - Freshwater station. There is a local swimming lagoon. Cairns is the step off point to the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rain Forest and too many other attractions to name. Happy to help if you have any tourism queries.
