We are a family of 4 with two beautiful & respectful young boys 4 & 7. We are all fond of holidays and travel both in Australia and abroad often. As a school teacher I'm keen to travel during the school holiday periods. Destinations we love vary from beachside, country and cultural trips. We have lived in our home about 1 year and adore everything about the house and surrounds, it's a fabulous, private, quiet area that is close to town. The photos of the house featured in this profile have slightly different furniture now however it's quite similiar.

About our House: Our house is a beautifully, recently renovated 1960 home featuring all mod cons. We have two children's bedrooms and a master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite upstairs. The children also have their own nicely fitted bathroom with bath & shower. Upstairs we also have our main living area with open fire place and expansive views over the river parkland. Downstairs is the laundry, toy room and children's play room. Hydronic heating and 2 open fire places along with evaporative cooling is available but we also have lots of windows with screens. Our kitchen is a great feature of the house, it includes dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and Smeg oven/gas cooktop. Our outdoor fire place and furnished outdoor area overlooks a large grassed area. Our 1/3 acre property sits around 20 metres from the Yarra River and surrounding reserves, parklands and playgrounds. For young children I still have a portacot and high chair if needed.

We live a few minutes walk from 'Wombat Bend', a beautifully and amazingly well equipped adventure playground. Expansive bike and walking trails surround our home. These include the Yarra Trail which leads from Warrandyte then ultimately into the city. Templestowe Village is 3 minutes away and offers a lovely range of cafes, newsagent, baker, supermarket and other amenities. We are very close to Warrandyte, Eltham and not far from a range of wineries and country side of the Yarra Valley. The city is 15km away via the Eastern freeway, with all that melbourne has to offer - Museums, Federation Square, Aquariam, St Kilda...Doncaster Shoppingtown is a 5 minute drive away and has fantastic stores, cafes and cinemas. 5 minutes drive from our home is well known Heide gallery and the sculptural garden surrounds, galleries and along with Shannon Bennett's Cafe Vue.
