Profile: Family-of-4 - Completed House Swaps: 2
We are a family of four who love to travel. We have successfully completed two swaps with this website and they went so well we would like to do it again! Philip is in Sales and I work for a Children's Charity, and we have two children aged 10 and 13. We love to see the sights but on our holidays we love to be near the beach. Our children are well travelled and have been taught to respect other people's property. We would also like to holiday with our Mini Schnauzer, If she can't come then that's fine I can put her into kennels
Type: House (Weatherboard), Bathrooms: 1, Bedrooms: 3, Sleeps: 4
About our House: Cute weatherboard house in the suburb of Wavell Heights in Brisbane. The house is 3 bed and 1 bathroom sleeps 4 comfortably ( Queen bed and 2 singles) however we do have a trundle bed that can be used as another bed to make it sleep an extra a child. The house is light and airy with windows opening to all the garden. We also have, gas cooking, TVs, DVD players, Wii, Playstation, BBQ etc .The house is surrounded by a small Balinese style garden and a huge Frangipani tree in the back yard. Wonderful to sit and have your lunch underneath. There is a deck off the dining room which has a plunge pool set into it. The pool itself is fully fenced with a small ladder for young children. Sitting by the pool at night with the fairy lights sparkling makes a really relaxing evening !
We live between two large shopping malls www.westfield.com.au/chermside , a good water park for kids www.bluefitbrisbane.com.au/locations/chermside and great parks. You could take a short bus ride or train into town and go see the latest in Modern art by going to GOMA www.qag.qld.gov.au , watch some cheap movies ( with 4 hours free parking) at Southbank www.cineplex.com.au/sessions-SB.php , Enjoy the markets and fake beach at Southbank Parklands www.visitsouthbank.com.au . Check out the funky Saturday markets at West End www.daviesparkmarket.com.au or eat your way around the markets at Eagle Farm www.eaglefarmmarkets.com.au . For those that dont mind a drive you can drive to the great theme parks of the Gold Coast i.e Movie World, Dream World, Wet nwild etc within an hour or even just hit the beach for a surf.
1 mini- schnauzer - We would love her to come with us as she is frightened of strangers, but she can stay outside. However she can be looked after if needs be.
