We are a family of four who love to travel and see new things. We have two healthy, well trained boys, Daniel (11) and Jesse (14). We have holiday swapped in Victoria and Western Australia. Steve is an English teacher and Liz works as a counsellor.
About our House: The house is a beautifully restored Federation era timber house overlooking the Bass Strait, set in a acre garden. The beach is just across the road. We operated as a highly successful award winning B&B (Seaward B&B) for a number of years but reverted the home to our private use in 2010. There's a local market on the village green opposite our house every second Saturday.The house has a data projector and large flatscreen TV, laptop and wireless internet. There are four bikes and fishing rods available for use. Kayaks by negotiation ( the main consideration being safety although the bay is relatively safe). Car also by negotiation.

The area is often billed as the place where green meets blue". A rolling patchwork of farmland meets the sea. Country drives, walking trails, pristine beaches, glacial and volcanic sites, rainforests, Table Cape, the Stanley Nut and Cradle Mountain are some of the local natural attractions. There are plenty of towns and villages dotted along the coast as well, with all the usual amenties and tourist attractions. Theres a vintage car display ($15) at the Wonders of Wynyard Visitor Centre. In the next town (Burnie) the Creative Paper building is worth a visit. There are many sporting opportunities, including sailing at the local yacht club (on Saturday morning, $5 will buy a hearty breakfast and a free sail) House details
