Profile: Family-of-5
We are Ros and Sean a professional couple from Hobart in Tassie with 3 kids, aged 8, 5 and 2. I am a lawyer and have been offered a temporary job in Sydney for 6 months starting early January 2012. It is a fantastic opportunity for us and therefore we urgently need a home to care for which is kid friendly. We are very neat respectful people who would look after your home as we would our own. We are happy to look after pets/garden etc. We think that a house swap with like minded people would work well for us as we don't want the hassle of packing up all our furniture etc for a 6 month period. We will have our own car and bring our own basic's ie towels, linen etc. We would love to hear from you. Happy to meet you on Skype.
Type: House, Bathrooms: 1, Bedrooms: 3, Sleeps: 6
About our House: Our house is a charming 1920's fully rennovated weatherboard comprising a huge open plan kitchen/dining/living area with double bi-folds doors opening up to a paved and grassed court yard. We have a separate 2nd living room and a fully equipped toy room. We have 3 bedrooms, configured as one queen (upstairs with views of the derwent), a todder's room with a cot, and a lovely girls room with bunks (and trundle). We have everything a family could need, highchairs, change table, outside play equipment, dvd's etc. We are a 5 minute walk to Sandy Bay beach and 10 minute walk to a kid's paradise park and foreshore. 10 mins drive and you are in the City centre.
There is nothing better than being in Hobart over summer with its festival atmosphere, the bustling salamanca markets, the great cafes and bespoke artware and local goods. The Sydney to Hobart Yatch race brings a vibrance each and every year that locals look forward to. The best thing about Hobart and Tassie is the people, we are warm and friendly and have a strong sense of community. The many attractions include, Mount Wellington, Wrestpoint Casino, the new MONA museum, the activities on the derwent, ie take a tall ship sailing or a jetski or a cruise to Bruny Island. What about a trip to Cascade bewerery? Bushwalkers love the pure unspoiled habitat Tasmania offers right across the state. Or maybe a wine tour either up north or down south is more to your style. Chocolate lovers definately need to take a tour of the Cadbury's chocolate factory. We have some fabulous boutique wine makers in Tas making their mark on the national scene.
