We are a mid - late 30s professional couple with 3 young children (Our children are good travellers having travelled with us on short & long trips since their birth). We both love adventurous holidays generally in developing/interesting countries with warm climates (past holidays include India, France, South America and Indonesia). We also love snow skiing (in particular, Japan and Europe). We are interested in a cross cultural experience and would make every effort to learn the language before arriving at a new destination. We have 2 short haired cats who can either stay in the house or go to a family member's home for the duration of an exchange. We have done 4 fantastic home exchanges all of which have been a very positive experience. For our next exchange, we would ideally like to do 3 weeks in a ski resort in March 2012 followed by a long exchange of 5 - 6 weeks in the South of France in approx April/May 2012. As we do not yet have children in school, we are flexible with dates - so please email us your offer! Existing French language skills - with some Spanish and Portuguese.

About our House: We fell in love with our house at first sight in October 2008 and had moved in within 3 weeks. When you see the photos you will understand why -it is a tranquil oasis. Our home has lush tropical gardens and a pool, and is designed to capture light and make the most of indoor/outdoor living. Features include vast travertine courtyard, mosaic tiled pool, koi carp fish pond, marble bathrooms, hydrotherapy spa, brand new sleek designer kitchen (completed in August 2011), bifold glass doors throughout, all living spaces and master bedroom open to courtyard, formal and informal loungerooms and a children's playroom. We have a gardener, cleaner and pool man. Our garden won the 2010 "Best Residential Garden" awards & our home has also been featured on TV Commercials.

West Kensington is approx 5kms from the city centre - My husband rides his bike to work every day. By car it is 10 minutes to Bondi Beach, under 2kms to beautiful Centennial Park and the Sydney Cricket Ground, under 2kms to the shops, cafes and restaurants of Surry Hills and Paddington, as well as 15 minutes by car to Sydney international airport. The neighbourhood is quiet, with large blocks of land and broad, leafy streets.
