My partner Gary and I are both aged 55 years with my 17 year old son who is doing year 12 this year. I am a community nurse and Gary is a counsellor. We did four house sits in 2011 and would now like to do some swaps. The three of us enjoy kayaking, swimming, cycling and surfing.

About our House: Our recently renovated Queenslander was built in 1900 and is now ready for us to do swaps. There are queen beds in two bedrooms and two single beds and a cot in the third bedroom. There is also an ensuite and second bathroom. Our house is child friendly as my partner has a three year old granddaughter who visits regularly. Gardens are low maintenance and all floors are timber. The north facing covered verandah is a lovely place to entertain as is the south facing uncovered deck. We have an electric bbq for you to use. We are very close to the cbd and Queens Park (800metres) a great kids park with its many cafes and Cobb and Co Museum. Use of our car would be included in the swap. We would leave it at Brisbane Airport for you.

National Easter Fest (formerly the Australian Gospel Music Festival) in Queens Park 6th 7th and 8th April. Carnival of Flowers Food Wine and Music Festival 22nd-29th September 2012 in Queens Park Toowoomba. Summer School and Winter School at University of Southern Qld Toowoomba. The Granite Belt Wineries are an hours drive, Dream World and Movie World are an hour and a half away and Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo is a two hour drive.

Twelve year old female poodle needs short walk morning or night as she doesn't have a lot of energy at this age. She can stay with relatives if pet care does not suit.
