We are a couple in our early 60's still both working, I'm a teacher at Rosebud Secondary College, and my husband Brian is an audit inspector with the local council. We love to travel and would like to stay somewhere in the UK preferably south or south west to use as a base. We hope to travel with Brain's brother and his wife who are also in their sixties.
Type: House, Bathrooms: 2, Bedrooms: 3, Sleeps: 7
About our House: Our house is very comfortable with open plan living, an indoor/outdoor balcony entertainment area with electric bbq and lovely views of Port Phillip Bay. Master bedroom with a queen size bed, study/bedroom with single bed, both share access to main bathroom. Large third bedroom with double bed, bunks and en suite bathroom contains hip bath, shower and toilet. Lower level of the house contains a very basic bedroom and bathroom, which could house another couple or would be suitable for teenager.
The Mornington Peninsula has many world standard golf courses, winerys and tourist attractions. The Peninsula's landscapes are reminiscent of the Mediterranean too, with silvery olive groves, rolling hills laced with vineyards, waterfront cafes and restaurants, roadside signs for strawberries or free range eggs and lively local markets where you can buy or pick your own produce.
The Mornington Peninsula is Victoria's only region where you'll find naturally heated mineral water pools that quickly soothe you into a state of blissful relaxation. Imagine a private rock-fringed pool hidden away in the trees, where you can lie back under the warmth of dappled sunlight or a canopy of brilliant stars at night. Nearby is the historic township of Sorrento which has a ferry service across the bay to another historic township of Queenscliff. Watch the dolphins as you take this pleasant trip and see Port Phillip Heads which is the gateway to the port of Melbourne.
We have a beautiful friendly Burmese cat named Stella who could be cared for if you wish to go away for a few days.
