About our House: Located 1.5 hour drive south of Cairns, this renovated Federation Queenslander with modern facilities sits on thirty acres nestled in the foothills of the Great Divide, 6km from Mena Creek village.
Professionally landscaped parklands and revegetated areas abutting remnant rainforest verges. Permanent spring fed creek, abundant rainwater supply, eco-friendly amenities.
Expansive views from most aspects to surrounding mountains and coast.
A plant buff's delight, with many exotic and native tropical species.
Abundant bird and wild life...wallabies, pademelons, bandicoots. (hence no pets please)
Extensive library of plant and wildlife reference books.
No pool, but a number of freshwater waterholes nearby and beach 20 mins away.
Relaxed country living 20 minutes from Innisfail (pop 12,000).
Owing to the nature of the house and hilly property, this may not be suitable for very young children. Parents discretion advised.
