Cabarita Beach is a small coastal village with a population of just 3,000 on the Far North Coast of NSW, just south of the Queensland border and north of Byron Bay, only 20 minutes from the Gold Coast Coolangatta Airport. Shopping, medical centres, restaurants and entertainment are either in Caba, or close by. A short walk to the beach and you'll be fishing, surfing or walking on one of the North Coast's best kept secrets. We are close to the Gold Coast, yet surrounded by ocean, lake, beaches, and natural bushland. Stay near all the action, without having to be part of it.
Byron Bay, the most easterly point of Australia is just a short 40 minute drive and Murwillumbah, the gateway to world heritage areas is only 20 minutes away.
Cruise the beautiful Tweed River exploring the hinterland with its many scenic attractions, charming villages, sidewalk cafes, restaurants, arts and craft galleries, markets, and the world famous Mount Warning National Park. Take a stroll along the beach and rocky headland track to Norries Point, famous for its surf break, where you can also watch the waves or if you're lucky, a dolphin or whale at play. For those who feel a little more active, there is even 30km of flat cycling paths.
Other nearby attractions include:
Kingscliff with its coastal board walk and many restaurants
Cudgen Creek and Lake which are great for snorkelling, sailing and kayaking.
Hastings Point, famous for its fishing and rock pools.
