Retired couple - have enjoyed living in Spain for 14 years - family settled in Mona Vale, North Sydney - had two very successful house swaps two years ago in Dee Why and Newport, one simultaneous and each with car swaps, and have kept in touch - would prefer 3/4 weeks but certainly less than two months. Climate similar to Sydney but less rain and Spanish are fun loving people - the cost of living is less than Australia. Belong to the Cost Blanca Wine Sociey, active in the U3A, Mary is a musician and has a choir, and I enjoy walking in the local mountains, Calpe is a popular resort for Spanish and Europeans and is busy in August.

About our House: Detached, pool with gazebo and terrace, garden, separate kitchen, lounge, dining room, spacious living area, sea views, close to amenities and beaches. Calpe was a fishing village, now town with port, various beaches, old town, famous rock feature, all types of shopping. Six minutes walk to nearest beach.

Costa Blanca is between Alicante and Valencia - both cities have airports and high speed trains - near the mountains with traditional spanish villages - boats to Ibiza, Majorca. Calpe is noted for its fishing port, old town and its rock or penon - with beaches, theatres, museums, many restaurants, shopping and supermarkets.
Nearby are special historic villages like Bocairent, Jativa and the city of Valencia has stunning modern buildings as well as old ones.
