We are a professional couple in our late 30's with three children, 7yrs, 4yrs, 1yr. We live on a stunning farm in Tasmania and would like to swap with another couple or family in the Cairns or FNQ area, with a fenced yard and a pool. We are tidy, clean, careful people. We are flexible with dates, but looking to travel for around 3 to 6 weeks from around mid Aug to Mid Oct 2012. Happy to negotiate car swap. Cot and high chair available. This is our first house swap, but our parents have had 2 successful house swaps and really enjoyed it.

About our House: Bangor Cottage. The original farmstead on Bangor Farm. Set amongst lush green paddocks with a stunning view of Blackman Bay. Two bedroom. Master bedroom with king size bed. Second bedroom with 2 singles or 2nd king size bed. Kitchen/dining, lounge, family room. The family room could be converted to a 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds. Tas oak timber throughout. Wood heater in the lounge with wood supplied. Heating in the bedrooms. Bathroom with clawfoot bath. 2 toilets. Cot and high chair available. Toys and play equipment available. Bangor is an award winning 6500ha farm, with 5100ha of native forests, 2100ha of nature conservartion reserves and 35km of coastline. Bangor has been privately owned by the Dunbabin family for 122 years. You will have access to the many stunning walks on the property including the walk to the Tasman Monument, the landing place of Abel Tasman in 1642. Bangor is 10 mins from the coastal fishing village of Dunalley which has a school, The Dunalley Water Front Cafe, hotel, golf club, shops, fish market, bakery, petrol, postoffice. Dunalley is 20 mins from the larger town of Sorell, which had the large supermarkets, fast food restraunts, other restraunts and cafes. Dunalley is 50 mins from Hobart which has a wide range of attractions including the waterfront with its cafes and restraunts, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, MONA, vineyards, Mt Wellington and much more. Dunalley is on the main tourist route to the Port Aurthur historic site. There are also a wide range of tourist attractions on the Tasman Peninsula including the Tasmanian Devil Park, Sea Life Adventure Boat Tours, Tasman Island Boat Tours. Bangor farm is a destination in itself with a number of stunning bushwalks, 35km of coastline and 2 stunning isolated beaches.
