Profile: Couple
We are both grandparents, whose children have all fled the nest, and are therefore ready to spread our wings and have an increasing number of new experiences. Although we have been tied down for some years with a business in Mooloolaba. we now have wonderful business partners we can trust to do the right thing, and more, and so can have time off.

In previous lives Ross has worked in refrigeration, small crops farming, and as a school janitor.

Susan has taught in high schools for 25 years, after which she retrained as a psychotherapist, and worked in a cancer support centre ......... running groups, counselling, training volunteers and running retreats.

We have both, in the past, been keen gardeners[we had 1/2 an acre of garden at our previous home] and we have a cat. When we go away for extended periods, friends take her into their home, and when we are only away a few days our next door neighbours feed her. We extend the same favour to them when they go away.

We both consider ourselves honest, friendly considerate people with strong senses of fair play. We have high standards when it comes to keeping our home clean and tidy, and equally high standards when we are in the spaces of others. It follows, of course, that we have expectations that anyone who has the use of our home will be considerate of our property and respect our standards.

About our Apartment / Unit: Our home is a 2 storey, free standing villa in a complex of 3. It was newly renovated last year, so is clean and modern and easy care - the perfect place for a holiday!The 2 bedrooms, bathroom and toilet are upstairs. Downstairs are a second toilet, quality kitchen, laundry, dining area which opens onto a small deck, and living area which opens onto a covered outdoor eating area. Although it is very low maintenance, we have potplants which need to be watered and a small fruit and vege garden which we have planted on our nature strip. Our neighbours are friendly, quiet, and considerate and join in the bounty of our little garden. Buderim village , which has numerous restaurants and coffee shops and an award winning tavern, as well as the usual businesses, is about a 3 minute walk up a moderate incline,
Although we have reverse cycle air conditioning, we have only used it during Buderim's first ever dust storm last year!The fans are adequate for us during summer and our winters are mostly mild and sunny.
We have insect screens, but they are not security screens as our neighbourhood is a very safe one.
[It may be a while before we get photos of our home on the site as weare both technophobes and have yet to discover how to make this happen!!]

People mostly come to the Sunshine Coast for our magnificent surf beaches, to visit Buderim and the hinterland towns with their craft shops and eating places and beautiful scenery, to fish, and to visit 'Australia Zoo' [about 20 mins. drive from Buderim] and 'Underwater World' at Mooloolaba.

For most of the yeat the slogan'Beautiful one day, magnificent the next', really does apply!
