My two and a half year son and I live together in this little slice of paradise. I am a teacher and I work with high school indigenous students. My home is a converted boat shed on about 1/3 an acre of land. The gardens are mainly native with many big trees, some of which are over two hundred years old. It is home to many birds and animals including blue wrens, bob tails, lizards, honey eaters and red cap parrots. It has a large play room which would appeal to little boys or girls of similar age.
I am hoping to find a house sit for the WA school holidays 2/ 7/ 09 to 18/ 7/ 09 in Melbourne inner city suburbs (Camberwell, Canterbury, Kew, Richmond, Hawthorn, Carlton, Fitzroy, Abbotsford, Collingwood, other adjacent areas) but am also open to offers throughout WA.

About our House: The house is cosy and very comfortable. It has french doors off the main bedroom and living room which both lead out to a long verandah overlooking the property. It is light with many windows looking out on to the garden.There is a set in trampoline on the lawn and a large grassed area. The garden is mainly reticulated with a small amount of hand watering. The third bedroom has a double bed and also doubles as the play room as it is very large. There is a single (car!) bed in my son's room and another single bed can also be put in the sitting room if needs be- this can be closed off and treated as another bedroom.
There is internet access and though I would prefer to take my laptop this can be negotiated. I am happy for people to smoke outside but would prefer no smoking inside the house.

A fantastic area for water lovers- Harbour two minutes walk which is regularly used for boating, fishing, wind surfing and kayaking. River nearby beautiful for these things, also a great bushwalk. National park very close by. Cafe with a native and farm animal park. A variety of beautiful beaches to choose from. Porongorup and Stirling ranges nearby. Many first class wineries in the area. All the Albany attractions close at hand- Scuba diving (a Navy boat sunk for diving in Princess harbour) historic buildings, fishing, Natural Bridge, Blowholes, Whaleworld.
