We are a non-smoking professional couple mid-60's with our own full time business but usually able to get away for shorter periods. Our interests are travel, dining out, movies, reading and house improvements/maintenance. Our activities are bushwalking, cycling and swimming. We love to cook and BBQ. Our lifestyle is quiet and modest and we would look after your home leaving it as you left it.

Our home is a semi-rural retreat but within a short distance to local amenities and 60kms (just over an hour) from Melb's CBD. Our house is a ranch style, timber house on 5 acres of fenced paddocks surrounded by gardens and forest that support a multitude of bird life which visit constantly. The house itself features a comfy, huge open living/dining/kitchen area with a split aircon/heating unit plus a Coonara style wood heater. 3 bedrooms (2 with full ensuites), plus additional, separate toilet and shower. Just 4kms to an excellent rural bakery and a convenience store. Whittlesea is the nearest town approx. 15kms or 15 mins away. We have mobile/tv reception, adsl internet and landline phone. Ideal for bushwalks/bike riding (M & F available) with the National Park within cycling/walking distance. Great tourism opportunities such as wineries within the Yarra valley, towns such as Yarra Glen, Healesville, and Yea all within an hour's drive.

This is a semi-rural retreat with something for everyone - adults and kids alike. The Kinglake area is known for its scenic national parklands, wetlands, waterfalls, hiking & cycle trails and horse-riding. Whilst being just over an hour from Melbourne CBD, it presents as remote bushland with abundant birdlife, wombats, echidnas, possums, wallabies, kangaroos and more. Several excellent golf courses are available as are heated public swimming pool, gyms, tennis courts, skate park and horse riding hire. For the gourmands, we have a fabulous bakery, Flying Tarts, just 4kms away. Plus excellent restaurants and eateries within 15mins at Whittlesea, or, under an hour to high interest towns such as Healesville, Yea, Yark, Seymour and Kilmore. There's heaps to do and see or just relax in our garden setting and unwind. For horse lovers, we have stables and training ménage and there are picnic race meetings throughout the year.
