Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Hampton, Bayside, VIC
Please note. This entry was made several years ago and since then my husband has died and I now travel with a friend. My friend has a husband who dislikes travel so she accompanies me when possible. The following details are still relevant.With family in the UK, Spain (Southern) and France we are keen travellers.We recently "downsized" from a family home to a townhouse which is very compact and surprisingly roomy but with a tiny garden area. We are retired secondary school teachers who enjoy walking, swimming, reading and the theatre. The house is very comfortable with a master bedroom and en suite with shower and toilet, a second bedroom with queen bed which makes it very cosy (see photo) but each room has plenty of cupboard space. A separate bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. There is a small office with a pull out bed and computer.. The passageway leads into a spacious lounge/dining area and beyond is the kitchen with another living area that opens onto the back and side terraces. The kitchen is very functional with granite bench tops and a Bosch cooker. Laundry has washing machine and drier. There is a small courtyard outside the kitchen with a gas barbeque, and another larger courtyard at the back of the family room with clothes line and seating. It is a 15 minute walk to our swimming beach with a Life Saving Club with change rooms and toilets. A short walk further along the beach top path takes you to the Sandringham Yacht Club and a little beach side cafe. You can also hire surf skis there as stand-up paddle boarding is very popular. We plan to visit family in Yorkshire and travel both in the UK and France.. We have a little Toyota Corolla which we would be happy to leave for your use. It is reliable but not glamorous!.

Our townhouse is situated in the delightful bayside suburb of Hampton only minutes from a beautiful swimming beach. Our street is quiet and a five minute walk to a choice of coffee shops, the banks, fashion shops, supermarket, postoffice, Library, medical centre and the train station. The house is easy care with two outside terrace areas at the back of the house. The lock-up garage has two bikes and two sets of golf clubs. The golf course is a five minute drive away. I described it in more detail in the personal section! The bedrooms each have a queen bed but there is a pull out sofa in the little study.

Our beautiful beach. A wide golden sandy beach and local Life Saving Club with change rooms.

The Hampton Street "strip" with dozens of coffee shops and eateries, a supermarket, Newsagent, dozens of clothing shops, lots of small businesses.
Train is 25 minutes into Melbourne centre. Train station is ten minutes walk from our house.

There is a cycle path that runs along the beach front from Port Melbourne to Mordialloc ( about 30 kilometres) and we would leave bikes for your use.
The public golf course is five minutes away and there is a set of clubs in the garage.
