Our house would be ideal for a single person, retired couple or a couple with a small child. I am a recently retired Primary Teacher, originally from England and my partner is currently working part time as a State Registered Nurse. We have mature aged children who have flown the nest. During the past eight years, we have enjoyed being part of nine successful interstate house swaps. We especially enjoy visiting coastal regions of Australia to ramble along beaches and bask in a warmer climate. We are available to swap at any time with advanced notice. We downsized last year to a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit with a carport on the outskirts of Hobart at the foot of Mount Wellington. We get afternoon into the back garden and lounge/kitchen/dining area which is fully equipped with modern amenities. We have reverse cycle air conditioners in the lounge and bedroom and also fitted infra-red heaters in the lounge and bathroom as an alternative system. There are two stereo systems and a Samsung 75 inch Smart QLED 4K TV in the lounge which has a Foxtel iQ4 box and Netflix subscription, to offer a full range of entertainment viewing via a fast speed NBN internet connection. Tolosa park with extensive barbecue facilities and a metro bus stop are within easy walking distance. The nearest shopping centre is 3 kms away with two supermarkets and many other franchises, including pharmacies and medical centres. We are a 25 minute drive to Hobart International Airport and a twelve minute drive from the Hobart CBD. MONA is a ten minute drive away.
