My husband David teaches History and English at a high school on the Gold Coast and I work as a Teacher Aide in the Senior Art Department at the same school. We both enjoy the tranquility of where we live and the beauty of Cabarita Beach. David is a keen surfer and we both play music as well, writing and playing original material. I am a fine artist and have exhibited my artwork at several local galleries. We have two daughters who will come with us, aged 20 and 22 who are really lovely, responsible girls. We love to travel and enjoy new experiences and meeting new people.

We have a large 4 bedroom house with a pool set on 61/2 acres just 3km from Cabarita Beach. The freeway exit is 2km away with easy access north to the Gold Coast, (Coolangatta Airport 20mins drive) or south to Byron Bay (30mins drive). Cabarita Beach is a naturally beautiful and safe beach with good waves and a lovely village atmosphere. It also has the convenience of a Woolworths supermarket, restaurants and cafes. The house is surrounded by bush and wildlife in a private setting adjoining the Cudgen Nature Reserve.
Main bed has a queen size 4 poster bed and ensuite. The other three bedrooms each have a double or queen bed and share a main bathroom with a large bath.
There is a double sided fireplace in the living areas downstairs and the music room has air-conditioning, as does the main bedroom. The TV has Apple TV, Netfix and Disney plus.

Cabarita Beach is only 3km away and is safe for swimming and good for surfing. The village has the convenience of a Woolworths supermarket and cafes and shops. Tweed Heads shopping centre is 15mins away and has a Hoyts cinema. Currumbin Wildlife sanctuary is 30mins away and the Gold Coast theme parks about an hour away. Byron Bay is 30mins drive and the Tweed Regional Art Gallery and Margaret Olley centre 20mins away. Mt Warning National Park is about an hours drive but well worth it for the bushwalking and natural beauty.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tamara and David's home. It was so relaxing returning each day to their spacious home in the amongst the trees and swimming in their beautiful pool. You feel like you are so far away from everything yet it's only a few minutes drive to Cabarita Beach. Tamara provides all the information on the local area we needed and was warm and friendly. We would highly recommend their home and hope to stay again in the future.

Tamara and David have a fabulous house in an ideal location on the NSW north coast. They are a little over 5 minutes drive from Cabarita Beach but it could be a world away with a spacious, open property surrounded by plenty of bushland. Their house is also very comfortable, wonderfully designed and well decorated with really interesting artwork. We thoroughly enjoyed their beautiful pool as well, and wanted to stay a lot longer. They took excellent care of our property and our animals.

Our family swapped with Tamara and her family (including their adorable cat) in January 2016. Tamara's home is wonderfully spacious, and in a delighful location, peaceful and tranquil and close to the local beach, cafe's and shops. We had a great holiday and would highly recommend Tamara's family and her home without hesitation for a swap.
