The House

We have lived here since before we had children, and they have now grown up and left. We have renovated and extended the original 1948 house, so it is now a comfortable family home, easy to live in, with carpet and cork floors, central heating and 4 reverse cycle air conditioners. We find it easy to relax here at the end of the day. We like to live outdoors when we can, so have a dining area and barbecue in the garden, as well as a heated inground spa pool. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, the second also has a queen size bed. The third bedroom is now a painting studio.
With grandchildren now, we also have a child's mattress. And toys of course, so our home is also suitable for small children..
We have wireless internet and an iMac.
Lyn loves cooking so we recently renovated the kitchen and walk in pantry.
We have good men's and women's road and hybrid bikes suitable for rides right around Melbourne on the bike trails. so you can explore the whole city and beyond, and avoid most roads.

The things we love about living here

It is a 10 to 15 minute walk to tram or train, and 200 metres to the bus.
By car the city is 20 minutes when there is no traffic. The train is also 25 minutes to the city. The beach is 30 minutes by car.
Walk to nearby coffee shops for a great cooked breakfast, or to excellent Thai, Chinese and Italian restaurants.
We live in a very safe family neighbourhood which has easy access to all the best things Melbourne has to offer.
Great restaurants, shopping, galleries, bike and walking paths. The tennis club is a 5 minute walk at Burwood Reserve one street away,.
Malvern Valley Golf Course is a 10 minute drive.
It is a 10 minute walk to the community sports centre and indoor pool complex.
We have 4 bicycles and there is a bike path into the city from the bottom of our street, about one hour ride. It connects to a bike path network that circles the city.

Green and peaceful, 100km of bike paths nearby.
