A north-east facing apartment on the top (7th) floor close to Melbourne's CBD just 2 stops by train to Southern Cross Station or 3 to Flinders Street Station. Close to JJ Holland Park through which South Kensington station is a 5 minute walk. A bus 3 minutes walk away takes you to Footscray or East Melbourne via Melbourne Hospital and University of Melbourne. Trams to the city via Queen Victoria market are a 15 minute walk away.
This is a two-bedroom apartment, however I use the second bedroom as a craft room. The other bedroom has a double bed. The apartment underwent a change of flooring to floating floors in April 2021.
The living area is spacious and leads out to a wrap-around north-east facing balcony. There is a reverse cycle aircon in the living area and a wall heater. While there is only the one double bed in the bedroom, there is a large convertible sofa bed in the living room which could be negotiated to use as an additional bed.
The kitchen has gas hot plates and electric oven, a microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine. Washing machine.
The bathroom has both a bath and shower recess and the toilet is separate.
The Kensington Community Recreation Centre closed Aug 2021 for a major rebuild. The closest rec centre with pools, gym etc is Ascot Vale a 30 min walk or 5 min drive away. It is a 10 minute walk to the Maribrynong river with lovely walks either way along the river.
Kensington village provides grocery, bakery, medical services, newsagent, pharmacy, florist and abundant cafes and restaurants.
Flemington racecourse is close by.
NOTE: There is no television in the apartment.
