Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Lilydale, North East Tamar Valley, TAS
We are a family of 5 (plus 1 cat, 1 dog and 5 chickens). There is Tanya & Kylie (the grown ups, supposedly) and then 3 children (Natiri - 11 years old; and Tali & Jami - 8 year old twins). Life is crazy and chaotic with three young children, and sometimes we wish for the old days when we could sleep in, and read books all day long. We both work part-time as Auslan interpreters, and we are slowly renovating our house and establishing our gardens. We have 2.5 acres of gardens to establish which is overwhelming and exciting. We are open to swapping anywhere, although we have family & friends in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne so those would be our favourite places to go. We love the idea of being able to show our kids different places and let them experience different settings; house swapping seems to be the best way of being able to do this.

We have a large house on 2 acres, overlooking Lilydale and Mount Arthur. It has an orchard with about 60 fruit trees and paddocks on either side of the house that we are slowly planting out.
It is a 10 minute walk downhill to the local IGA and cafe's; and a 25 minute drive to Launceston
The house is a 4 bedroom home, 2 x queen beds; 2 single beds, and 1 day bed. There is also a queen size sofa bed in one of the bedrooms as well. It is an older house that we plan to update in the future, once we get the garden more established.
We share the property with Kylie's parents - Linda & Kevin. They live in their own flat above the garage and are quite independent. You may meet them as we share a driveway and laundry.
We are slowly renovating/upgrading the house and land.
We are slowly working on our garden aiming to build it into a food forest. At the moment it is at the baby forest stage. We also have vegetable beds and are growing some of our own food.

We had a great time in Springwood, spending most of the time in the lovely garden with the friendly chickens while our boys jumped on the trampoline. We can home to a happy dog and clean house.
