We are two retired school principals who enjoy all forms of sport, travel, history and meeting people. We have two married sons aged 40 and 38 and 4 delightful grandchildren. We have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and USA and have enjoyed every experience. We are keen to exchange with a couple or small family for a period of 2-6 weeks (or longer) in order to really get to know and appreciate the environment and culture of the area. This will be our twentieth exchange and we are still very excited about the prospect. All our previous exchanges have been wonderful and we consider ourselves very lucky to have had these experiences. We are quite house proud and would look after your home as if it was our own. We are open to offers anywhere in the World!

The House

Our apartment is a large 3 bedroom contemporary apartment in a security block very close to Manly and Manly Wharf. The apartment has stunning views of Sydney Harbour from every room and good size balconies for entertaining. Modern kitchen with all appliances. The living area has a 106 cm plasma TV and entertainment unit, cable TV and broadband internet. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the 3rd has 2 single beds. It is a very comfortable, easy care unit and a great base for exploring Sydney, the NSW Coast and the Blue Mountain area. It is 500 metres from surf beaches, 200 metres from Sydney Harbour and only 30 minutes to the City of Sydney by ferry or bus.

The things we love about living here

Fairlight is one of Sydney's most beautiful harbourside suburbs. Our apartment is only a few minutes walk from harbourside pools and the world famous Manly surf beach. A 10 minute walk will take you to Manly Wharf where you can catch the ferry to the city centre while a 5 minute walk will take you down to Sydney Harbour and our delightful harbourside pool at Fairlight Beach. From our apartment there is easy access to all the northen beaches, numerous local restaurants, recreational facilities, National Parks and the city of Sydney. There are 4 golf courses within a short 10 minute drive. The northern beaches area is truly one of Sydney's most sought after residential and recreational areas. While close to all facilities Fairlight is a quiet leafy suburb with a mix of houses and apartment blocks. Our local neighbourhood shops include a restaurant, coffee shops, chemist,delicatessen,butcher,grocer,newsagent and doctor. We have bicycles, bodyboards, surfboards and snorkling gear that we would love you to use.
