We are an active family of 4 who enjoy surf lifesaving, surfing, skiing, and snowboarding. I am a Principal at a local high school and my wife is a Grade 4/5 teacher at a local primary school. Our boys love their sport and are 14 and 17 years old. We love travelling and have travelled across Asia with our family, especially loving the snow in Japan. We are beginning our house swapping journey and would love to spend time in the coastal areas of Australia. We are very proud of our house and would treat your house in the same manner.

Our house is a large 4 bedroom modern home on a secure block approximately 100m to the most beautiful beach and estuary in Tasmania. We have a large modern galley kitchen with walk in pantry, 2 massive bathrooms and 3 toilets. Our 2 living areas have large plasma Tv's. We have broadband internet, Netflix and a large study. The main bedroom has a large walk in robe and ensuite. It is a beautiful area of Tasmania, with many major tourist attractions within 2 hours drive (Cradle Mountain, Stanley, Launceston, The Tamar Valley). We are also only 10 Minutes from the Devonport Airport and 15 Minutes from where the Spirit of Tasmania ship docks in Devonport. You are able to use our Suburu XV for travel around Tasmania, including a 3 hour drive to Hobart if you wish.

Grant and Penny have a beautiful modern home in the stunning coastal town of Shearwater, northern Tasmania. The home is 2 minutes walk to the beach with an abundance of parks, nature reserves and national parks nearby. The iconic Cradle Mountain NP can be accessed easily from this location. Grant and Penny went out of the way to accommodate our family and we certainly appreciated all the sporting equipment left for us. Our house swap experience was excellent and on this occasion we also swapped cars and pets for the holiday. This was all arranged easily and trouble free. Grant and Penny and their children were excellent guests in our home and I would definitely recommend this house swap!

Our house swap with Grant and Penny was fabulous. They have a beautiful house in a lovely, quiet location at Hawley Beach. The house was modern, spacious and very well appointed. It was immaculately presented for our arrival. We particularly loved being able to pick fresh fruit and vegetables from their back garden. It was a short stroll to the beach with an extensive walking track that afforded beautiful views. Apart from the beach, the surrounding farmlands and vineyards were great to explore. We had excellent communication both prior and during the swap which made everything run smoothly. Our home was very well cared for and was left in perfect condition. We highly recommend any potential swap with Grant and Penny. Thank you for the opportunity to visit this beautiful part of Tasmania.

This holiday was our first swap experience and from the moment we stepped in the door, we relaxed knowing that given the impeccable condition of their home, our home was in great hands. From the amazing stone floor's to the inviting hardwood lounge areas and 5 star kitchen and dining area, the house design and all its elements has clearly been very carefully considered with amazing light from all sides and every amenity. Being so close to the serene waters of Pt Sorrell with the long waterside walks and with the proximity of everything in Tasmania's north, Shearwater is a great destination from which to explore. We could not have hoped for a more stunning home and location for our break.
