House Swap with us

A little about us...My husband Ian is 70 yrs young, a music specialist and luthier. I am 63 yrs young, a professional singer and retired singing teacher. We ran a successful music school in Bunbury for more than two decades and are now enjoying retirement. Our dream is to continue to travel and create memories for as long as we can. We love art and music and our home reflects both. We love home swap as it allows us to get an authentic "feel" for a place as we have learned there is nothing better than local knowledge. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world with so much to enjoy in both nature and culture and look forward to sharing our space with our fellow travellers. We love going out for a meal, long lunches at wineries, shows, musical events and festivals. You will find there are quite a few musical instruments around our home and we welcome you to pick them up and enjoy a jam together.

The House

The House

Our townhouse is a two storey brick and tile one bedroom as the 2nd bedroom is converted to a studio/office and third bedroom is converted to a cinema. We love art and music and our home reflects this. Our home has everything to make your stay comfortable. We have reverse cycle air conditioning and a cosy faux electric wood fire as we love the ambiance. The kitchen is very modern with a light and airy feel which flows onto the dining area. Large glass sliding doors lead onto a small balcony with fabulous views of the iconic silos, Bunbury CBD and a short walk to the cafe strip and beach. In the downstairs courtyard is a lovely sitting area while sipping a glass of vino or enjoy a summer night soaking in our pool. The main bedroom has a very comfy king size bed and across the hall is the 2nd bedroom which has been converted into a small cinema. Our home is small and yet spacious enough to feel extremely comfortable and suitable for couples. If you like bird watching you will love sitting on the the balcony and enjoy the bird life that live in an enormous Norfolk pine easily viewed from the balcony. If the beach is more your thing we are a two minute walk where you can enjoy fish and chips on the beach while watching the sunset. We are centrally located and you are walking distance to art galleries, cafes, cinema, entertainment centre and the many fine restaurants and cafes that make up our fabulous port city.

Bunbury is WA’s best kept secret. We have fabulous beaches, cafe strips, entertainment and are a gateway to the magical south west with its famous wineries and surf beaches such as Margaret River. Our home is an easy five minute walk to the most beautiful pristine beaches you can imagine! We are surrounded by and in walking distance to a wonderful choice of cafes and restaurants yet still in a quiet location. There are beautiful walking /cycling paths and little parks to picnic in or just sit and people watch. We have the fabulous Dolphin Discover Center a beautiful ten minute walk down through Kombana bay and don’t be surprised if you see dolphins as you walk.
