We are a family of four. My husband is a local High School Principal and I teach at a College in Devonport, our boys are now aged 16an 19. We enjoy the active and tranquil life style shearwater offers. Our days are spent at surf club, bike riding and water skiing with friends. We are beginning our house swapping journey and would love to spend time in the coastal areas of Australia. We are very proud of our house and would treat your house in the same manner. Shearwater is a beautiful area of Tasmania, with many major tourist attractions within a few hours drive (Cradle Mountain, Stanley, Launceston, The Tamar Valley). We are also only 10 Minutes from the Devonport Airport and 15 Minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania ship docks in Devonport. You are able to use our Kia Sorento or VW Golf, to explore local areas. Our home is located on a secure block approximately 70m walk to our beautiful beach and estuary. We have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a relaxing undercover outdoor deck with BBQ and a down stairs under cover BBQ area. Our two living areas have large plasma Tv's. We have broadband internet and Netflix. The main bedroom has a large walk in robe and ensuite with separate toilet.

Our home is located on a secure block approximately 70m walk to our beautiful beach and estuary. It is a modern double storey with a spacious open plan living area upstairs. The kitchen is a galley style with large walk in pantry, and dish washer.
We have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a relaxing undercover outdoor deck with BBQ and views of the water and beach. A down stairs under cover BBQ area. Our 2 living areas have large plasma Tv's. Our house is only one minute walk from beach and local surf club that offers friday night Market on the Beach in January. And across the inlet you have Narawntapu National Park with endless wildlife and walks. 1km away is a jetty for jumping off and boat ramp for fishing.There are 2 golf courses within a short 2 minute drive with one being a local Country Club with beautiful meals. The Shearwater and Hawley Beach area is one of the fastest growing areas in Tasmania with schools and Woolworths Supermarket recently built. The local views are breathtaking with bike tracks along the waters edge and mountain bike tracks close by. Our local neighbourhood shops include a restaurant, coffee shops, chemist, 2 supermarkets, newsagent, a beauty,massage and day spa retreat and medical clinic. We have bicycles, bodyboards, skateboards and scooters that you can use.
If you have a boat, it is a great location for fishing and water skiing, only a two minute drive to the boat ramp.

What a wonderful visit to Tasmania we had. Shearwater is such a lovely part of the world and Natasha‘s house was immaculate and peaceful. With stunning views and a gorgeous little dog we fell in love with, we enjoyed a superb family holiday in this house-swap. Minutes walk from the beach and wonderfully comfortable space to relax in with the family. Thank you Natasha for swapping your home with us, as well as your car which allowed us to go exploring around the area. We returned home to a perfectly clean and tidy home ourselves, and appreciated the few photographs of our pets they sent while we were away. We highly recommend Natasha’s lovely family home for a Houseswap, you will not be disappointed!

We recently had the pleasure of swapping houses with Natasha's family in Shearwater, Tasmania, and it was a great experience and a memorable holiday. The house was lovely, spacious, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The layout was perfect, especially for our kids who had plenty of room to play and relax. The view from the house was beautiful. The location of the house couldn't have been better. Being so close to the beach allowed us to easily enjoy leisurely walks and make the most of the coastal scenery. There is a Parkrun within a short walking distance at the surf club. The location of Shearwater served as an excellent base for exploring Northern Tasmania. Natasha and her family also perfectly cared for our home during their stay, leaving it super clean and tidy. We would welcome and recommend a house swap with Natasha anytime. Thank you!

We had a really fabulous swap with Tash and Brent and their boys. They were great sitters and our cats were well socialised! Gardens watered and a lovely clean house to come back to. Their house was amazing - modern and spacious but nice and warm for a month of Tassie autumn. The area is gorgeous- lots of nature and particularly penguins and potoroos. Highly recommend.

We had a terrific 2 week stay at Natasha and Brent home with their dog Coco. A lovely large house with everything you need, close to the beach, surf club & riding tracks. This was a terrific stay with plenty of day trips in the surrounding area. We would recommend a stay here at Shearwater for sure

We had an excellent time in Shearwater at Natasha's home. It is a beautiful modern home with all amenities and very clean and comfortable. There were lots of nearby towns we traveled to and particularly liked LaTrobe. We found our holiday very relaxing and the local markets were fun to visit. We also viewed several historic houses and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this home for a fun swap.
