Caves Beach is appropriately named as it's a network of sea caves located on a beach. A popular spot near Swansea in Lake Macquarie and not far south from Newcastle, it's worth a visit. There's lots to do at Caves Beach including swimming, surfing and sun baking. However, if you wish to explore the sea caves you'll need to check the tide tables as you can only visit the sea caves during low tide.
Caves Beach is a beautiful, unspoilt beach. Enjoy the coastal views and spot the coal ships moored out at sea. There are also lots of fabulous national parks to explore the coastline. Children will love exploring the rock pools.

Shane and his lovely family have recently stayed in my home on a non-simultaneous swap on the sunshine coast, Queensland. True to their word the home was just as clean when they left as when they arrived! I was very pleased when I returned home.
