We are a retired professional couple in our late 60's who are keen travellers both within Australia and overseas. We have travelled quite extensively over the past 45 years and have lived for varying lengths of time in London, Capetown and Grenoble. We enjoy both regional and major city locations and have had around 15 successful exchanges to date.

The House

The House is a modernised single fronted terrace (1875 vintage) with an original facade and 2 story fairly open plan light filled addition. The bathrooms and kitchen are therefore modern. It is currently set up with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and two living areas, dining area, bathroom & kitchen downstairs. The less formal back living area opens out (full width doors) onto a compact but quite private garden.
There is a self contained one bedroom apartment with a separate external entrance at the rear of the garden which is also available for use.

The things we love about living here

Location - Our house is in a quiet pocket of Carlton North/Princes Hill which is noted for trees, interesting terrace houses and especially for cafes and restaurants. We are only 3km from central Melbourne (15-20mins by tram or 40 mins walk), close to Melbourne University, major hospitals and Research Institutes and 5-20mins walk to restaurants, shops, cinema etc. The freeway and bike path networks are also readily accessible.
