My son and I live in a quiet coastal town on the Great Ocean Road in south west Victoria. I am a teacher and my son attends school at the nearby town of Timboon. Our home is a modest period house and is situated a few minutes walk to one of the many stunning beaches on our coastline. There are 3 spacious bedrooms (king bed and two queen beds), open plan living, one bathroom and a back deck with bbq. The combustion wood heater is excellent for warming the house. No aircon. The large yard is enclosed and over the back fence is rural land. We often see the mob of local kangaroos resting or hopping past. Just west of Peterborough is the Bay of Islands. The township of Port Campbell is a 10 minute drive east and has a range of cafes and shops. The 12 Apostles are a further 10 minute drive east along the GOR from Port Campbell. We have three shops here in town. A licensed grocer, a post office/takeaway shop and a lovely cafe/restaurant that also serves excellent curries. The Curdies river and estuary is a popular fishing spot. We are spoilt with a range of rock pools and swimming beaches. None are patrolled. The cliff walking track is a lovely way to discover the various coves and majestic views. We are able to travel / house swap during school holidays and weekends ( my son is in high school). Warrnambool is our regional centre and is a 40 minute drive from Peterborough.

Timboon is a lovely country town 15 minutes inland. Foodie trail is very popular. Timboon fine Icecream, strawberry farm, whiskey distillery, artisan cheese etc. Rail Trail and majestic old trestle bridge.
Peterborough Golf Course is a small course and has views across Newfield bay and the rugged coastal cliffs that rival anywhere in the world
