Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Kelburn, Wellington
We are Peter & Julie, retired from banking and a Registered Nurse respectively. We have enjoyed one very successful house and car swap a few years ago and have always intended to do more but life got in the way! Nonetheless we've continued to travel extensively and want this to continue whether domestically in NZ, trans Tasman or further afield. Peter is originally from the UK, Julie is a born and bred Kiwi and our adult children live in NZ and Sydney - these destinations (ie Australia, UK/Europe & NZ) are probably of the greatest interest for a swap but we are open to consider anything. Our interests are broad but no doubt representative of our age group - books, theatre, tramping, choir, travel, op-shopping, sports and so on. Proud owners of 2 excellent e-bikes which we use frequently - they're ideal for Wellington's topography.

Attractive, well maintained, spacious two storey villa, having the benefit of fantastic views over Wellington harbour. Light and bright, the house is comfortable and nicely furnished, with most rooms double glazed and with central heating throughout. The Botanic Gardens are a 3 minute walk as is Wellington's iconic Cable Car. Ride the cable car or walk into the centre of town in 15 minutes comfortably. Victoria University is 5 minutes away, Parliament 15 minutes, and Sky Stadium 20 minutes. Other iconic Wellington must sees include Te Papa, Zealandia and Weta Workshops (Lord of the Rings). Kelburn Village with its shops and cafes is a 10 minute walk. The area is also very well served by bus.
