Hi! I'm Kylie. I'm a primary school teacher who loves the earth and the great outdoors. Sometimes I travel alone, sometimes with my four lovely kiddos who are between the ages of 11 and 15, and sometimes with my beautiful 2yr old Kelpie. I am open to swaps to accommodate any of those combinations.

A beautiful, cosy weatherboard in the heart of the Upper Blue Mountains town of Katoomba in NSW. We are a 15 min walk from the National Park and World Heritage Area and only a 2 min walk into the main town which has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's the perfect base to explore all the area has to offer.
The home itself is in two parts. The guest suite is the available space to swap, though it can be combined with the main house to accommodate a larger group swap (max. 10) by negotiation.
The guest suite has two bedrooms (queen and single with trundle), bathroom and combined kitchen/lounge/dining with slow combustion fireplace, plus electric heater, fans and a sofa bed.
The yard wraps around the house and is planted out with a variety of native, fruit and ornamental trees. It is also home to a lovely flock of chooks who we may need you to feed and water occasionally, depending on the length of the swap.
There is a carport for your vehicle, plus plenty of on-street parking, though we are only a 10 min walk (downhill) from Katoomba railway station should you wish to come by public transport.

Katoomba sits on the land of the Dharrug and Gundungurra people. It is at the heart of the Blue Mountains World Heritage area with plenty of bushwalks, canyons and climbs for adventurous nature lovers though there are plenty of spectacular views to take in for those who would rather enjoy it all from a lookout.
We have some amazing food, beer, art and live music in the town as well and we play host to many varied festivals throughout the year.
Our weather is varied - we usually have fairly mild summers and can get snow in winters and sometimes it can feel as though we have both seasons in one day!
