We are a (mostly) retired couple living on the Sunshine Coast. We are relatively new in the area, having moved here in early 2020. Greg is a mostly retired university professor and Julee was in various admin positions. We enjoy travelling when we can, though there hasn't been a great deal of that over the past few years. We need to travel to Melbourne for a week or so several times over the next couple of years and are looking to be within a reasonable commute to the Burwood campus of Deakin University (the length of stay and dates are reasonably flexible). We are new at the house swapping thing, but 3-4 years ago we spent a couple of years doing various house sits up and down the east coast of Australia. So we are used to looking after other people's houses.

We live in a single level house in a quiet neighbourhood that backs onto a golf course. We have an in ground pool, reverse cycle A/C, media room (with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Binge, Kayo), good kitchen, WIFI, etc. Our Master bedroom will be closed, so there are only two bedrooms available - each are a decent size with king-sized beds and an adjoining (Jack & Jill) ensuite/bathroom, and with plenty of available cupboard space. The house is not child-proof so we are looking to house swap with other couples.
We are a ten minute drive from Coolum Beach, about 20 minutes drive from Noosa Heads, the Sunshine Coast hinterland is about a 30 minute drive, and we are about 15 minutes from the Sunshine Coast airport.

There are many local attractions depending on your tastes. For foodies there are great restaurants in Noosa (about 20 minutes away). For swimmers/surfers there are several nearby beaches (10-15 minutes). The hinterland offers hills and several lovely small town to visit. The Eumundi markets are about 20 minutes drive away.

We have recently returned to Melbourne after a fantastic home exchange at Greg and Julee's house in Peregian Springs, near Noosa. Their home and pool are stunning, and in a stunning setting - in the dress circle of Peregian Springs, backing onto bushland, and the golf course, including a lake and fountain. The bird life was extraordinary. The beautifully designed house was in immaculate condition, and presented as new. It was a resort-like experience. We couldn't recommend it more highly. Greg and Julee also left our house in spotless condition, the swap went very smoothly, and we recommend them as excellent house-swappers.
