We are a couple who love house swapping. Our two adult children and their partners may join us from time to time either together or one at a time.

The house is newly built (2021) and is located in a very quiet area. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living area is on the top floor and is open plan comprising lounge room, dining area, kitchen, formal sitting area and butler's pantry. This all leads out on to a large deck with stacker doors to take advantage of the cool breezes in summer and the sunshine in winter. There is also an extra toilet room on this floor. The middle floor is where the main bedroom and ensuite are located as well as another bedroom, bathroom and separate laundry. On the ground floor there is another bedroom as well as the main entrance to the house and a soon to be installed elevator (late April 2024).

We are right next to a forest sanctuary with several walking tracks ranging from easy to moderate or difficult. There are covered picnic areas with barbeque and toilet facilities. There are lots of different species of birds in the sanctuary and the flora consists of wooded areas, rainforest, eucalyptus, tree-ferns and many more. Many of the plants are labelled.
Another lovely place to visit is Buderim Forest Park which is a secluded 45 ha park with picnic area, walking tracks and a waterfall. This is located just minutes from Buderim village.
The coast is so close - Mooloolaba Beach, Alexandra Headland or Maroochydore Beach are all around 6 - 8km from our house. There are many other beaches within an easy drive - Mudjimba/Marcoola, Yaroomba, Coolum, Peregian, Sunrise Beach, Sunshine Beach, Noosa Main Beach, Point Cartwright, Kawana, Wurtulla, Currimundi, Kings Beach, Bulcock Beach, Golden Beach, Moffat Beach and Dicky Beach. Some of these are patrolled and some are great for surfing or for young families.
There is also a Coastal Pathway which is 73km long and stretches from Bells Creek in the south to Coolum in the north. It is split into 9 segments and runs beside beaches, parks and leisure areas.

The swap house was beautiful - very clean and tidy and perfect for our needs. Communication with Antoinette was very easy and responses were usually within 24 hours. Our house was also left in great condition. Wouldn't hesitate to swap again!
