Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Merewether, Newcastle, NSW
We are a family of four: Professional couple with 2 well-behaved teenage boys aged 17 and 16. We dont have pets, but both boys dog sit on weekends so we are happy to mind pets. We are neat, respectful and nice! We have been lucky enough to enjoy 25 successful house swaps (including a month in Canada) so far and can't wait to do more. We love the idea of weekend and short stays within a few hours travel from Newcastle (either driving or flying) and visiting family in Byron Shire around Christmas every year. However we are open to ideas!!!

Our house is a lovely federation home that is walking distance to Bar beach, Dixon Park Beach and Merewether Beach, a fantastic park (tennis courts, skate ramps, play equipment, bike track, sports oval), supermarket, cafes, boutique shops and restaurants. Coles and the trendy shopping strip known as The Junction is less than 3 minutes away.
3 bedrooms all with double or queen beds, plus a study with a double fold up lounge, and another double leather sofa bed in the formal lounge room. Main bedroom with double bed and ensuite.
The house has had extensive renovations. New kitchen, new bathroom, new carpets, blinds, windows. Theres a lovely covered verandah overlooking a fully fenced private backyard.
There is a split system air conditioner in the kitchen/living and one in the 2nd bedroom. We have a large deck for entertaining / relaxing. We have a very family friendly yard.

We had a lovely weekend swap to Heidi's place. Heidi communicates really well and arrangements flowed easily and smoothly. Heidi's three story home is modern and very tastefully decorated. It is well positioned to enjoy the Ocean Baths and local restaurants. I highly recommend a swap with Heidi!

Heidi's Family's home was in a great location, walking distance to beach and shops....and only a short drive to the Hunter Valley ! It was nice and clean and equipped with everything you need. The kids loved the pool. Had a great time in Merewether. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a break away.

What a delightful experience for our 1st House Swap. Thank you Heidi for your guidance & support. Phillip & i enjoyed a relaxed week at Rhys & Heidi's Mereweather home over Xmas/New Year 2019. Enjoying bike rides to the beach & reading & relaxing around their new pool/outdoor area. We found the area easy to get around by pushbike, easy walking & car/taxi/uber. We returned home knowing our space had been left in a spotless & respectful condition. We look forward to future weekend/week swaps with Heidi, Rhys & boys.

Heidi and her family have just completed a house swap with us during the current school holiday period. I have just come home to an immaculate house and am very grateful for the care and consideration Heidi and her family exercised while staying here. In turn, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their home in Newcastle which was beautifully renovated and spotlessly cleaned. The house is in a lovely beachside suburb of Newcastle, close to everything. This was my first house swap experience and Heidi had completed a number of swaps previously.
