We are Ian and Jill: a retired couple who enjoy travelling. We have both been volunteers with Royal Society for The Blind, Guide dogs for the last seven years and have looked after a variety of young guide dogs in training..We travel with our two beautiful well trained Labradors, Quinn is a gentle 12 yr old retired guide dog and Bess 9 is his best friend. Our daughter has lived in Brisbane for some years and we love to come to Queensland and spend time with her exploring. We have undertaken some very successful house sits in the past, most recently in June andJuly 2022.

The House

Our home is a single story house on a corner block in a quiet suburb of Seaford Rise on the Fleurieu Peninsular. it is situated 5 minutes from Moana Beach and 10 minutes from the McLaren Vale wine district. The house has a large family living area with a modern kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 1 ensuite, bathroom with spa, and a study (or 3rd bedroom). There is an outside covered entertaining area with BBQ and a fully fenced garden with fruit trees, shrubs and vegetables and lawn.

The things we love about living here

  • The beautiful beaches of Moana, Maslins Beach, Port Noarlunga and Aldinga
  • The nearby parks and walking trails
  • the easy proximity to shops with little traffic
  • The nearby wine districts of McLaren Vale and McLaren Flat.
  • The nearby train station with regular trains to the city of Adelaide 40 Km.
  • The local markets at Willunga High School and Moana
  • The local coffee shop and cafes
