Home exchange and house swap holiday accommodation in Toorak, Melbourne , VIC
Me and my ginger Burmese cat Sammy Stardust would like to do a 1, 2 or 3-month swaps in rural Victoria, if possible. Would like to put aside the time for a silent meditation retreat. I work as a counsellor and I am training for ordination within the Buddhist tradition. Used to practice as an artist, hence all the paintings in my apartment.

One bedroom apartment in Toorak, inner Melbourne.
Toorak is only 7km from Melbourne CBD.
Toorak (aka Hawksburn) is a leafy-green area of Melbourne. There are lovely cafes nearby and the famous Chapel Street is walking distance or 10mins by tram.
To get here, take tram No. 72 from the city and get off at stop 39 (corner Irving & Malvern Rd). The tramstop is outside the door and goes past Chapel St on its way into the city.
Or you can take the Frankston train from the city and get off at Toorak Station. Toorak Station is a 7-minute walk to/from my place, which is also nice to do because there are gorgeous cafes just outside the station in Rose Street and Beatty Avenue. Mammoth cafe is very nice and Toorak Cellars is a nice wine bar and they do great coffee too!
The supermarket is nearby (Hawksburn village). You also have your own carpark space. I have air-conditioning so you will be nice and cool. The apartment block is very quiet and surrounded by lots of trees. The walks around the area are really nice because there are lots of beautiful mansions and still more trees - it is very green.
Melbourne is famous for being the cultural capital of Australia and for its cafe culture. Lots of galleries and cafes.
