House Swap with us

We have a large 3 bedroom new home, by the sea in Hawkinge near Folkstone in Kent. We are moments from Eurotunnel and 10 min drive to the port of Dover so access to europe is very easy here. We also have access to central London on the high speed train to St Pancras which takes 55 mins. We are very close to the historic town of Canterbury also. Folkestone Town has vibrant cafes and bars and a growing arts scene, beautiful beach, it also has Europe's largest indoor skate park where you can hire the gear for not very much. Depending on your needs/interests I can give you lots of information about what to do locally. I am new to house swap however have been an air b and b host previously with this house. All 3 bedroom have ensuite bathrooms. Suitable for sleeping 6-8 people.

The House

Large 3 bedroom house moments from Eurotunnel and Dover port the Gateway to Europe, France can be visited for the day if you want to!, We have links also into central London via high speed line to St Pancras 55 mins from Folkestone Central Station. We are close to Folkestone with its arty vibe, Cafes and Bars and beautiful beach. We are 20 mins from the historic town of Canterbury. Depending on your interests we are steeped in history here and I can give you more information.

The things we love about living here

We love our trips to France, Belgium, and Holland. Which can be driven easily from here/ coach tours also available. We enjoy walks on the beach locally, there is so much for families and couples to do. The Coastal park is stunning and Folkestone has bars and cafes in the Arts quarter along the old high street thee harbour arm is also lovely to visits with its stalls and cafes bars and places to eat. Also the area is very LGBTQ + friendly. We do enjoy trips into London for gigs and shows and day trips to visit friends socially, but it is nice to retreat back to the coast in the evenings to enjoy country walks and in winter cosy roast dinners at the local pubs with open fire. There are also trips here that can be booked to go to the Christmas markets in Bruge (Brussels) also not far to drive ifyou are feeling adventurous.

Lovely country walks around here. If you come here you will need a car we have locally all amenity shops including a very large Lidl with fresh Bakery, in the village we have two pubs.
Steeped in History 1st and 2nd World War locally and you will often see spit fires fly over on a clear day.
