The House

Our home is a 4-storey townhouse in a quiet neighbourhood, less than 8 km from Melbourne CBD. Our place will suit those who want to be away from crowds and noise but have ready access to the city. Construction was completed in 2021 so it is nice and modern.
First (ground level) floor is a study and bathroom. Second floor is the living area, with a balcony, well-equipped kitchen, servery window to a second outdoor area, living / dining with a big screen TV and seating for 2-4 people. Third floor is the master bedroom with ensuite including shower and separate bath. There is also a laundry with washing machine, a third bathroom, and a study alcove. The top floor is a roof deck with outdoor sofa and clothesline.
We have wifi and smart TV as well as Google Home devices, which control some of the lights and air conditioning. There is reverse cycle air conditioning (cooling and heating) and air purifier in the living area and master bedroom, with a fan and heating in the downstairs study.
A city bike with basket will be available for your use. There is street parking nearby, and typically there are bays available.
You will love our comfy bed, quiet neighbourhood, good transport links, and all the mod cons.
We have about ten indoor plants - they just get checked weekly and watered if needed, it is a 10 min job.

The Location

We love Melbourne. The city is vibrant every day and well into the night, and feels safe and welcoming. Our local area also has great bars, cafes and eateries less than 2 km away (20 min walk / 10 min cycle).
Public transport (train or bus) from our place to Melbourne city is approximately 40 min. Trains and busses run regularly including late into the night, and are safe and efficient. Once you get into the city, there is also an extensive network of regional trains if you want to explore further. If you have a car, the city is only about 20 min drive.
Our area is great for cycling and walking/running. There are many bike and walking trails that follow the rivers and creeks, these are leafy green avenues separated from traffic. The river is at the end of our block. There are many golf courses nearby, which add to the greenery. Popular road cycling routes head past our house (info can be provided on group rides and routes).
There is a local farmers market (less than 2 km away) on Sunday mornings, which is a good source of fresh and organic produce. We also love to do grocery shopping at the nearby Station St in Fairfield, which has a terrific bulk foods store, greengrocer, multiple butchers and bakers, supermarkets, two wine bars, pharmacies, bookstore and many other stores.
