House Swap with us

We are a family of four with older teenagers and a golden retriever. I am a scientist and my husband is in IT, We love the outdoors and nature, enjoy good food and wine and travelling both within Australia and internationally. We have used Airbnb quite a bit in the past for accommodation and have excellent feedback as being respectful visitors who look after the properties we are staying in. We are offering our much loved holiday house for simultaneous or non simultaneous swaps. Our dog can stay with friends but we are very happy to look after pets.

The House

3 Bedroom country house with newly renovated kitchen and bathroom backing onto the Ovens river. It is a short walk into town. There are two toilets and a separate bathroom. There are two outdoor areas undercover, Weber BBQ and two bikes (one electric). The house has central heating, fans and air conditioning as well as a wood fire. There is fast internet and a work area in the master bedroom. The main bedroom has a king size bed, the second a queen size bed and the third a queen size and a single bed.

The things we love about living here

Bright is a very popular holiday town with lots to do in all seasons. There is skiing nearby in Hotham and Falls Creek in the winter and great hiking and bush walks the rest of the year, we are surrounded by National Parks. The autumn foliage is very popular, there are lots of mountain bike trails and the rail trail for more sedentary bike riding with cafes and vineyards along the way. Bright is a foodie town with lots of great restaurants and its own brewery and distillery. In summer, there are lots of shady spots to read a book along the river or cool-off with a quick dip.
